Rubbish!

How much rubbish does your family throw out? Believe or not, most families throw out more than two kilos of rubbish a day for each person in the family! But what do people put in their rubbish bins? A popular magazine asked schoolchildren in the USA to write down everything they threw away for five days. What was the most common thing they threw out? Paper! Do you think these schoolchildresn were different form most Americans? They weren't . In the USA, 38% of the rubbish is paper. There is computer paper. There are sweet papers, cereal boxes, magazines and much more. Paper recycling isn't just a popular environmental topic , it's a necessity. What are you doing to help?
